Managed Firewall

Definition

A managed firewall is a service where an outside provider continuously configures, monitors, and updates the company's firewall — rules, security patches, alert response — instead of an internal team managing it reactively.

Why it matters for your business

A misconfigured or outdated firewall gives a false sense of security. Outside management ensures rules keep pace with new threats without depending on someone internally remembering to do it.
