Challenge

The company relied on a local server with no automated backup and no monitoring, and the entire IT team was two people already stretched thin by daily support. A single disk failure meant, in the best case, an entire weekend recovering files from scattered copies.

Approach

We prioritized what to migrate first based on impact and risk: email and backup in phase one as the most urgent, lowest-risk move; management systems in phase two with team training; and the remaining infrastructure in phase three, with rollback possible at every step.

Solution

We migrated email and collaboration to the cloud, implemented automated 3-2-1 backup with cost monitoring, and moved the internal management system to a hybrid setup that keeps sensitive data on infrastructure the company controls. Every phase ran outside business hours to avoid disrupting operations.

In the client's words

We went from being afraid of the server's hard drive to not thinking about it at all. The peace of mind alone was worth the migration.
