Challenge
Power outages were frequent, and every time one hit, local servers and security cameras shut down without warning. When power returned, voltage spikes had already damaged network equipment more than once.
Approach
We sized the power protection for the worst-case scenario, not the average one: UPS capacity with real headroom above current load, a generator with automatic start, and cascaded surge protection from the main panel down to every critical device.
Solution
We installed online double-conversion UPS units for critical systems, a generator with automatic transfer switching (ATS) that starts within seconds of an outage, intelligent PDUs with remote consumption monitoring, and surge suppressors at every electrical and data entry point.
